Long district, Luang Namtha province, has successfully organised a short-term training course of primary education for 30 village heads in the district.

The intensive training course commenced in November last year which is aimed to enable the village heads to read, write and understand the village administration through democracy, grassroots political strengthening in development village clusters and focal areas, market-oriented agriculture, sustainable environment protection, conflict mediation and dispute resolution and the improvement of party structural organisation at grassroots.

The training course was held at the Ethnic Lower Secondary School of Long district.

Head of the Education Service of Luang Namtha province, Mr. Sorphith Sithbounlang, presented graduation certificates to the literate village heads.
