Minister of Education, Mr. Phankham Viphavanh, and his delegation visited Xiengkhouang province on May 3 to promote education in the northern province.

Mr. Phankham met local officials and teachers of both government and private schools in the province.

He briefed the officials and teachers on the importance of the national education strategy implementation, especially helping Lao people to have a better and larger access to education.

The minister urged the educational officials in the province to pay attention to their duties to ensure the education development in the province and expansion of education to rural and remote areas.
